ORIGINAL ARTICLE: LONGMONT — The Longmont Police Department is asking for the local public’s assistance in locating missing 19 year old Aravind Elangovan out of the Longmont, Colorado area.
Aravind was last seen leaving his home on the 1400 block of Harvard Street on March 31, 2017 at 11 pm. The Longmont Police Department say he was last seen wearing a long black wool coat, a long-sleeved blue T-shirt and boxer shorts. He was not wearing pants or shoes.
According to police, he suffers from various mental conditions. The combination of the manner in which he left the house, the manner in which he was dressed and his mental impairment increase Aravind’s risk to himself. He has no vehicle, no wallet, no ID and no cellphone.
He is known to frequent the parks in northwest Longmont and the Mount Sanitas Trail west of Boulder, Colorado. Additionally, Aravind attends Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Police say he may be trying to make his way there.
Aravind is described as:
• GENDER: Male.
• HAIR: Black.
• EYES: Brown.
• HEIGHT: 6 feet 1 inches.
• WEIGHT: 195 pounds.
